Famat improves the positioning of structural parts during welding operations

PROBLÉMATIQUE CLIENT

For carrying out manual welding operations on structural parts, Famat is conducting a study in connection with the ergonomics of the workstations. The production teams want to improve the positioning of parts and facilitate the handling of these heavy loads and their accessibility to operators.

NOTRE SOLUTION

Supratec is drawing on the deployment of its ergonomic handling solutions on the Rolling Line Safran production line to offer Famat a fully automated parts positioning solution. In this case, the eMove technology developed supports a 2-tonne load. The digital MMI controls the accurate and safe positioning of the mechanical sub-assemblies: “up & down” axis, rotation and 360° tilt.
The high-precision Zero Point clamping interface allows shared operation on several ranges of parts in order to optimize dead times during changeover phases, and guarantees the repeatability of welding operations.

Space optimization and modularity of factory 4.0

Complemented by the enhanced eNav navigation solution functionality, the eMove technology is becoming mobile! The positioner either moves in automatic mode in AGV configuration or is guided by the operator. Its installation in the workshop does not require any civil engineering.

Benefits at a glance

  • Improved workstation ergonomics
  • Making the handling phases of heavy loads safe
  • Flexibility and modularity of installations
