Saint-Gobain integrates the automated NDT contactless measurement process for glazing products

To meet the production challenges of the automotive sector, the Saint-Gobain group is automating its control process and improving its performance. The objective of this key stage is to measure the conformity of glazing products at the end of the production process: defect detection, characterization of part shapes, inspection traceability.

NOTRE SOLUTION

With the eScan contactless measurement technology, Supratec has a technological leadership position. The high-precision measuring system checks the 3D shape reproduced from the data acquired by the two control heads. Totally autonomous, the robotic cell operates with a high execution speed (cycle time < 5 sec.) and sanctions non-compliant production in real-time with an automated inspection report.
Contactless measurement technology eliminates the risk of destruction during inspection operations and reduces the cost of tools and tracking them over time.
This application is equipped with our dedicated MMI to guarantee the simultaneous serving of the two robots and the monitoring of data.
